Pole Sections Stuck or Not Locking

Sections Won't Lock:

Possible Causes:

  1. Dirt or debris in locking mechanism
  2. Misalignment of sections
  3. Worn interlocking sleeves
  4. Bent or damaged sections

Solutions:

  1. Clean the mechanism

    • Lower pole completely
    • Wipe all sections with dry cloth
    • Remove any dirt, leaves, or debris
    • Apply light silicone spray if needed
  2. Check alignment

    • Ensure sections are straight
    • Rotate slightly while extending
    • Listen for the "click" of engagement
  3. Inspect for damage

    • Look for dents or bends
    • Check interlocking sleeves for cracks
    • Contact us for replacement parts if needed

Sections Won't Unlock:

Quick Fixes:

  1. Twist and press - Rotate 1/4 turn while pressing down
  2. Apply penetrating oil - Let sit 15 minutes, then try again
  3. Gentle tapping - Tap section with rubber mallet while twisting
  4. Warm the pole - Cold weather can cause sticking
