Pole Sections Stuck or Not Locking
Common solutions for locking mechanism issues.
Sections Won't Lock:
Possible Causes:
- Dirt or debris in locking mechanism
- Misalignment of sections
- Worn interlocking sleeves
- Bent or damaged sections
Solutions:

Clean the mechanism
- Lower pole completely
- Wipe all sections with dry cloth
- Remove any dirt, leaves, or debris
- Apply light silicone spray if needed

Check alignment
- Ensure sections are straight
- Rotate slightly while extending
- Listen for the "click" of engagement

Inspect for damage
- Look for dents or bends
- Check interlocking sleeves for cracks

Sections Won't Unlock:
Quick Fixes:
- Twist and press - Rotate 1/4 turn while pressing down
- Apply penetrating oil - Let sit 15 minutes, then try again
- Gentle tapping - Tap section with rubber mallet while twisting
- Warm the pole - Cold weather can cause sticking
