Ground Sleeve Installation Guide
Proper ground sleeve installation ensures your flagpole's stability and longevity.
Materials Needed:
- Ground sleeve (included with kit)
- 2-3 bags of concrete mix
- Post hole digger or shovel
- Level (4-foot recommended)
- Water source
- Mixing container
Installation Steps:
1. Dig the Hole
- Depth: 24-30 inches (1/3 of pole height)
- Diameter: 12-14 inches
- Shape: Straight sides, flat bottom
2. Position the Sleeve
- Center sleeve in hole
- Top should be 2-3 inches above ground
- Use level to ensure perfectly vertical
- Brace with wood stakes if needed
3. Mix and Pour Concrete
- Follow concrete package directions
- Pour in layers, tamping each layer
- Keep checking level as you pour
- Fill to within 2 inches of top
4. Finish and Cure
- Slope concrete away from sleeve for drainage
- Smooth surface with trowel
- Allow 48 hours minimum cure time
- Protect from rain during curing

- Install on a dry, mild day
- Have helper hold sleeve level while pouring
- Take photos for future reference
- Mark location before digging
